quiet

Oh, hello! Some time has passed, hasn't it? So much chaos has happened in this world since I last posted. Our little corner, however, has been quiet. Wherever you are, I hope you are able to find peace, comfort, safety, love.

A new friend moved in a few weeks ago, after his owner was forced to find him a new home. We call him Jack. Though he and our other kitty, Paisley, are taking some time to adjust to one another, he has fallen head-over-heels for the Little One.

our new friend, jack.

I've never heard of a cat actually seeking the company of a small child. Obviously, the feeling is mutual, and they've taken several afternoon naps curled up together. Just lovely!

jack and the little one, bff.

We're a few weeks away from Baby Time, and nesting is in full swing!

Oh my goodness, what a little sweetie. The fact that he snuggles up and takes naps with your little guy just melts my heart! (Crossing my fingers that our cat takes to the baby -- just not *too* much -- when he comes!) I'll be thinking about you over the next few weeks...have fun with that nesting! :)

How beautiful. They are both very luck to have found each other.

Be VERY careful with your nesting. I went a little beserk with one of mine and went through my wardrobe putting things into two enormous bags: one for really good clothes that I wouldn't be fitting into for a while; and one for tatty old things to go to charity. Guess which bag I gave to charity? I still shed a tear remembering some of the things I lost...pregnancy brain mush.
